Alison creates her captivating artwork with a proficiency in photography and digital art. Her innovative creative skills enable Alison to enliven her harmonious compositions with exquisite painterly, ethereal atmospheric effects, and tactile details that we may otherwise overlook.
Her intention is “to give a vision of the essence of a scene rather than an exact recoding of the scene.”

“Winter Day”, shown above, was selected for “Art Inspired by Nature” Online Exhibition presented on our other website The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS. With her photograph she wrote: “When it snows it is beautiful here. I live near large farms with lightly traveled gravel roads and when it snows that is where I go. It is quiet in the crisp cold and I love seeing and photographing the reflections on the snow from the sky and the trees.”
Alison presents her nature scenes as if they are pristine, undisturbed by human destruction. Her art reminds us how important it is to respect and preserve our natural resources and protect the environment. Her artistic contributions are invaluable.
Alison’s “Serenity Scenes” are printed on heavy archival fine art paper with long lasting pigment ink for maximum longevity and colorfastness. The unlimited versatility and creative expression in Alison’s portfolio bring tremendous joy to her many collectors.

Alison states, “My work stimulates the viewer to explore more deeply the way beauty is seen and experienced by removing much of the detail and leaving only the essence. In doing so I not only show you a scene but I also draw your eye to the larger facets that can get lost in an ordinary photograph. I encourage you to look upon the graceful arch of a single stem, the shape of a barely discernable mountain in the distance, the form in a pile of rocks.”
Alison lives in Virginia and her many exhibitions include those presented at Annie Gould Gallery, CoArt Gallery, Glass Hollow Gallery and Shenandoah Valley Art Center, all located in Virginia.
Her art has also been selected for several online exhibitions presented on the Manhattan Arts International website including “HerStory” 2026 and exhibitions on our other website The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS. It was chosen for the “Art Inspired by Nature” 2026 exhibition and for our promotional video.

Alison’s many awards include those from Virginia Fall Foliage Festival, First Place in Digital Art in the Disney Festival of the Masters, and J Mane Gallery.
Alison shares her profound lifelong reverence and connection with nature, her sensitivity, and talent to express its myriad healing qualities. She shares a memory that reflects her dedication to nature conservancy. “When I was 15 I played a small part in saving a piece of land from developers that I will always know as Burling Tract. Today it is known as Scott’s Run Nature Preserve and is one of the few unspoiled pieces of land on the Potomac River a stones throw from Washington D.C. That is still one of my proudest achievements.”

In the Art Review I wrote about Alison’s healing works of art I stated: “In the presence of Alison’s works of art, we immediately enter a realm of resplendence. Her breathtaking scenes are bathed in a radiant glow that evokes a palpable panacea. As she lifts us into the magical splendor of the natural world any feelings of worry or chaos disappear. We are lulled into a blissful and euphoric state of mind.”
