To achieve aesthetic impact Ira applies oil on canvas or board and often uses caulking material to achieve his exquisite sculptural qualities. This skillful and powerful impasto technique increases visual interest and visceral expression.
In Ira’s compositions a profusion of varied planes of color, organic, biomorphic forms and geometric shapes resound in a delightful medley. Black outlines emphasize forms and spatial structure. Combined, these creative attributes reflect his remarkable versatility and color proficiency.

On his travels Ira takes photographs and later translates them into emotive images that delight our senses. An example is “Paris”, which is a panoply of animated iconography that captures the city’s cultural richness and the artist’s personal interpretation.
