Transcendent Mixed Media Abstract Paintings
Dr. Tricia Seymour-Barrier, tsbfineart.com, is an artist and transpersonal psychotherapist who lives in Plano, Texas. Her paintings invite us to transcend to other worldly realms beyond our normal comprehension of reality.
In addition to their exquisite aesthetic qualities, her works of art symbolize mind expansion and higher consciousness. The equally inspirational titles ignite poetic, spiritual and cognitive stimuli. Shown here are “Ascension” and “Geometric Alchemy”.

Ascension, mixed media (texture paste, acrylic paint, spray paint on canvas), 24″ x 18″ x 1.5″
Tricia’s expansive stylistic versatility in abstract expressionism provides a multi-dimensional and immersive experience for the viewer. Her painting methods range from ethereal, luminous and transparent applications to the energized, gestural brushstrokes of action painting, and more.
A medley of tactile surfaces, symbolic elements, geometric shapes, biomorphic and nature-inspired forms coalesce in a dynamic interplay of visual exploration, movement and depth.
Her compositions are further enhanced by her proficient use of the color spectrum. Contrasts and harmonies abound, much like a symphony that arouses and engages all of our senses and induces a rhythmic state of sublime meditation.
Geometric Alchemy, mixed media (texture paste, acrylic paint, spray paint and black marker on canvas), 30″ x 47″ x 1.5″
Tricia’s proficiency also lies in combining different mediums such as paper, cardboard, burlap, plastic, crystals and occasional found items. You will also find her use of healing crystals such as quartz, selenite, amethyst, and more throughout her inspirational and inimitable works of art.
