Andrea’s paintings are created from the heart, and she says that the intent behind her work is to shine a light on the beauty of nature, conservation and environmental protection.
She hopes her work connects with people so that they feel inspired, uplifted, and happy. Her work is recognized for its color, stylized realistic approach, and delicate details.
Her latest collection of floral pieces is inspired by her grandmother’s garden, which had the most exquisite roses, orchids, and lilies. The collection is a mix of realistic work and dreamlike pieces that delve into the realms of imagination.

Andrea also loves painting birds, and her collections feature playful depictions full of whimsy, a “Too Cute” collection of small paintings that are raising money for Zealandia, a local eco-sanctuary, and a new collection of “Sea and Wading birds” paintings that give a voice to endangered species.
She uses color and visual metaphors to inject a sense of mystery, communicate poignant messages of protection, and to give viewers a sense of personal connection to the birds.
Floral Crush, oil and pastel, 30″ x 30″
To communicate her messages, Andrea applies her many skills in a wide variety of mediums, techniques, and styles. She is equally adept at capturing what she observes in our natural environment as she is creating works that reflect her vivid imagination. With both approaches and superb use of color and balance, she creates worlds of beauty and activism, which stimulate interest and appreciation, and ignite important cultural and environmental conversations.
Andrea believes working in harmony with the environment is important. In addition to using only good quality materials which last longer, she knows that her clients can get anywhere from 75 – 200 years from their investment. She also uses medium gel with her oil paints as it allows her to wash out her brushes in water.
As she explains, “In this throw-away society I think it is important that our choices are sustainable both in how we work and what we purchase.”
