I’ll be happily and creatively busy again in 2023! In addition to monthly member exhibits in Kingston and Hyde Park, N.Y. I will be taking photo tours to the Olympic Peninsula National Park and the island of Madagascar. In June, ASK of Kingston will show my work in a two-person show in their Spotlight Gallery. July will see me in Mexico for my solo show of photographs of the “Atlixcayotl” dance festival and my book launch on the same subject.

Since Leucippos People are Damaged Everywhere by Lust of Power, open acrylic, fineliner, embroidery on canvas, 55″ x 55″.
I am really excited about the Madrid Station Art Exhibition February 1 – 28 during the Madrid Art Fair event. They will create a poster from my work and hang it aside a conveyor belt in the underground for public viewing. This is my ambition to hang my work, not for the happy few, but for everyone that passes by on their way to work. They chose the work “Since Leucippos” (shown above). I think it attracts both men and women. It’s also a tribute to my late husband/ assistant. I am thrilled that I can show my work on digital screens for a year in galleries and art fairs.

A Bouquet of Wild Flowers, acrylic on canvas, 15.75″ x 19.70″.
My figurative work remains a path that I follow alongside my abstract art. My figurative work on water was noticed by the cultural director of the beautiful medieval manor: ‘Maison Henri 4’ in St Valery en Caux , Normandy France. Consequentially the town has invited me for a solo exhibition on the theme: The sea, waves and seascapes. The exhibition that I am working on at the moment will be from the 10 June until July 23 2023.

I am happily busy with lots of ongoing commission work, as well as trying to develop my portfolio. I will be finally sculpting a full-size female figure in bronze for a park this summer and I am so incredibly happy for realizing this dream.

Pop Poppy, photography, 6″ x 6″ x 1.5″ (Giclee print face-mounted to 1″ thick acrylic)
In 2023, I look forward to having my work shown through gallery representation at Art Expo New York this spring as well as Art Santa Fe this summer. In conjunction with a presence in Manhattan Arts International’s online gallery, entries in other upcoming online and in person shows will provide an opportunity for additional national exposure for my work. I continue to find inspiration in the natural world around me.
