Sue Miller received the good news that she’s been successfully elected to the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). The FCA is dedicated to raising artistic standards and advancing the knowledge and appreciation of art to the Canadian public.
Alan M. Richards is one of the featured artists in the Contemporary Art Exhibition Series at The Manhattan Art & Antiques Center (MAAC) from September 12th-30th. MAAC is located at 1050 Second Avenue (55-56 St).
Darlene Kaplan received the Council Special Award for one of her oriental brush paintings titled “Many Shrimp”. In the Green Spring Gardens Park art exhibition of Springfield Art Guild Members she won the “Peoples Choice Award” for her painting “Tranquil Evening”. Kaplan, who is also a watercolor instructor has already announced her Oriental Brush Painting workshops for August 2018 and classes are already filling up.
Lis Zadravec is pleased to announce that two of her pieces, “Honi Soit” and “The Dangling Conversation”, have been chosen as finalists for the ArtSpace Herndon 2017 9th Annual Expressions Portrait Exhibit, October 3 – 28, 2017.
Bren Sibilsky’s “Winds of Change”, clay, 36″h x 26″w x 12″d, was selected for the Manhattan Arts International “The Healing Power of ART” 2017 exhibition.
Matti’s Sirvio’s Wounded Angels from Syria, oil on canvas, 70” x 78” was curated into the Manhattan Arts International “The Healing Power of ART” 2017 exhibition.
Nancy Staub Laughlin’s artwork Sunset Sparkle Style, layered photographs using iPad sketchbook pro drawn shadows , 13” x 19”, was selected to be featured in the Manhattan Arts International “The Healing Power of ART” 2017 exhibition.
Monk In The Garden, oil on canvas, 48″ x 48″, was selected for the Manhattan Arts International “The Healing Power of ART” 2017 exhibition.
Victoria Pendragon’s mixed media piece, “Land of the Free”, was chosen to be a part of be included in the 5th annual international 2017 FL3TCH3R Exhibit: Social and Politically Engaged Art displayed from October 9 to December 15, 2017, at the Reece Museum on the campus of East Tennessee State University. Shown above is her piece Victoria Pendragon, titled “Following”, acrylic on liquid art boards, 8″ x 10″.
Shan Fannin’s “Rolls Royce Phantom” painting will be on the cover of the 2017-2018 Round Rock Arts & Culture Guide. Above is a painting by Fannin of a Cadillac.
Elliot Appel was selected to exhibit three paintings in Contemporary Art Gallery’s online “Cityscape” show — “Out of The Darkness”, “Yonah Shimmy Knishery” and “Seventh Avenue Local”. Shown above is his painting “Corner Deli”, acrylic on canvas, 9″ x 12″.
