Nancy Reyner is an artist and member of the Manhattan Arts International Online Gallery. Her paintings often appear as exotic oceans dissolving in mist, while simultaneously becoming color or "energy fields". This unusual combination of abstract and realism help to evoke a meditative or divine/heavenly place.

Her career spans more than 30 years and she exhibits, lectures and teaches internationally. She received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, MFA from Columbia University, and currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has held several artist residency positions and her work is in many public and private collections.

Nancy's expertise has led to a position as technical consultant for the acrylic paint company Golden Artist Colors, Inc. This association allows her the opportunity to use the latest in acrylic paint technology creating original and unique effects in her paintings.

As the press relewase states: Acrylic is often used as a substitute for oil paint or watercolor, but the real gold mine is in allowing the medium freedom to do what it does best.

This book, with 144 pages, shows how today’s artists are doing exactly that. It’s loaded with original artwork and valuable insight from 64 artists, incredibly diverse in styles and subjects, each using acrylic in unique ways to create expressive and personal art.

Acrylic Innovation delves into acrylic's potential to create unique styles, with methods and techniques for allowing you to find your own voice in the medium. A variety of successful acrylic painters are featured, each using acrylic in unique ways to create their own original styles, ranging from photorealism to minimal color field and everything in between. By looking at how other artists find ideas you will be able to explore ways of personalizing your own art.
