“As the curator, I will be awarding those artists who demonstrate superior technical skill in their chosen medium, an innovative approach to their medium, a coherent communication of their unique artistic vision — in their images and their statement — and the ability to retain the viewer’s interest after multiple viewings. When selecting the top awards, I am not only choosing works of art for an exhibition, I am also choosing under-recognized artists to promote to our widespread international audience. ” ~ Renée Phillips
