“My art is always a journey of discovery into the essence of being. It is an effort to externalise the truth of my own existence on as many levels as possible in an effort to communicate a greater awareness of the quality of life. It is also an attempt to generate enquiry into the greater spheres of understanding which lie beyond conventionalised intellection.”

Keith Morant has been a visual creator all his life, and has always followed his own unique direction. As a full-time artist he lives and works in his purpose-built studio in Christchurch, New Zealand. In addition to many exhibitions in his own country, he has exhibited in New York, Tokyo, Miami, Valencia, Beijing, Istanbul and Italy. Recent years has seen his work impact on the International art scene with considerable acclaim.

Morant has exhibited with Trevisan International Art in Ferrara at the Castle Estense. Here his work won significant recognition with the award for ‘The Manifestation Of The Spirit Through Art’. He was also selected to exhibit at the great 6th International Florence Biennale where he won the award ‘Premio alla Carrierra’ – ‘The Lorenzo Il Magnifico Award for ‘Lifetime Achievement in Art’.

In 2008 Morant won the ‘Premio Internationale d’Arte’ award. Following this he was represented by his Italian dealers in Bologna at an exhibition called ‘Little Treasures’ and simultaneously held a solo show in New York titled ‘Morant in Manhattan’.

Morant was also honoured with the prestigious "Premio Ercole D’Este della Critica (Critics Choice) award. In February 2009 he was honoured again in the Premio San Valentino International art exhibition (Taranto, Puglia) Southern Italy with the First Prize, the 'Medaglia del Presidente della Repubblica' (The President of the Republic's Medal). Following this, in October 2009 he was honoured with a special award for his 'Services To Art' by Paola Trevision of Trevision International Art. This award was presented at the opening of the International Exhibition 'Imaginary Journeys' held at the Castle Estense, Ferrara, Italy.

In 2010 he will be exhibiting in Australia with two hundred paintings at ‘Art Melbourne’.
