Artist Profile

Arthur Jacob's photographic abstractions are motivated by his need to explore the shapes, colors, tones and movement that either exist or are possible in a photographic image. This exploration is most often bold, colorful and challenging to the observer. The final results are abstractions that Jacob calls "photographic reality reconstructed." The observer of his art is challenged to guess what the real life image is as well as to discover the full spectrum of possibilities. Brian Paco Alvarez, Curatorial Director, L Maynard Galleries commented in Q Vegas Magazine, Las Vegas, April 2006 that "Arthur Jacob's works are quite simply the quintessential contemporary …."

His selected exhibitions include: Coastal Arts Museum, Half Moon Bay, CA; Contemporary Arts Collective, Las Vegas, NV; Twin Lakes Gallery, Las Vegas, NV; Artistic Framing, Las Vegas, NV; American Society of Interior Designers, Art Auction, Las Vegas, NV; L Maynard Galleries, Las Vegas, NV; and Streamline Tower construction Art-Wrap, Las Vegas, NV.

Arthur Jacob resides in Las Vegas, NV. His professional career includes artistic and creative directions for advertising and marketing materials. Throughout his life Jacob has been involved in photography with a present focus on photographic abstractions, which explore the relationships between color, movement, shapes and tones. In addition, he has been actively involved with marketing and public relations for the Contemporary Arts Collective in Las Vegas and is currently the Vice-President for Art Quotient, a nonprofit organization that promotes and exhibits the original works of art of students at all grade levels with a focus on high school students.
